GIFTS: For those of you who are looking for
gift suggestions, we have a couple:
If you're the type who likes the simplicity of
a
gift registry, we've made our rounds with the scanner
at Bed,
Bath & Beyond and Home Depot.
At BB&B, you can apparently access the list
and shop online at the above link or go to the actual store and
get a listing. For Home
Depot,
you have to go to the nearest store and ask at the information
desk.
On our invitations, which are going out on June
21, we also mention that even though Ikea and Cost Plus World
Market don't have gift registries, gift certificates from these
places would be just dandy.
On the other hand, if you can't stand the structure
and rigid discipline of a gift registry, we feel your pain. Please
feel free to express
your creativity in any way you feel compelled (just so
you know, we are already pretty well stocked when it comes
to microwaves and toasters. Also, we don't have a crystal
punch bowl but there's a reason for that. The same goes for
anything macrame. Other than that, the field is wide open.)
And, lastly, if you're the kind of person who just
doesn't get into buying wedding gifts, you will still be welcome
at our party.

Well,
the whole big show is now behind us. As far as we're concerned,
it was a total success. We had a wonderful day with all of you
and look forward to many more good times in the future. Thank
you all for being in our lives.
We've got pictures! Check out the wedding
gallery for lots of shots of the day. Also,
if you've got pictures that you'd like to share we'd love to
see how the day looked from your perspective. Email them
to us or send us a letter sometime (email us for our new address).

Get a
taste of the chaos. Read the wedding journal...
Hello! Welcome to our
wedding planning page. As you can imagine, we're pretty excited
about the whole thing. The chapel has been reserved (see the
pictures on the right), the dress is being made, the photographer
is booked, and on and on and on.
But what we're really the most excited about is the chance to
spend some time with our family and closest friends. We're keeping
it small and doing our best to make it a relaxing, stress-free
event for everyone. Come on out and enjoy the party!
We're excited about the location. There's lots
to do -- everything from glider rides to golf to wine-tasting
to riding horses to lying very still in the sun beside the natural-hot-spring-filled
swimming pool. The chapel is a beautiful old adobe building on
a hill overlooking the valley (by the way, we'll warn you now:
if all of you come, it's going to get a little tight in there,
but that's okay, you can come stand up in the front with us if
you can't find a seat!)
We want to use this web page to provide all the details that
you might need to make preparations to join us. Keep checking
back for more info as the date gets closer.
Thanks so much for being a part of our lives. We can't wait
to see you all.
Peter & Jen

INVITATIONS/RSVP: Official
invitations will be sent out in May (once we make them!) with
the "official RSVP" information. If you'd like to drop
us an email before then to let us know you plan to attend, it
would be welcome and would help us with our planning. Room reservations
can be made at any time -- according to the folks at Warner Springs,
sooner is better than later (we have a block of rooms held until
June 30 -- after that they are released back to the Ranch's general
reservation department). See below for more information.
THE PLAN: We will be heading
out to Warner Springs on Wednesday night (7/28/04) along with
members of the wedding party and anyone else who wants to come
along. Some of our friends have talked about making a week-long
holiday of it, going out even earlier. We plan to play
in the pool, take glider rides, hike, visit Julian, etc., etc.,
on Thursday and have a BBQ in the park in the evening. Friday
will be the big day. The ceremony will most likely be around
5pm, assuming it isn't too hot outside, followed by a meal and
much celebration. Come out early if you can. Come just for Friday
evening only if you must.
LODGING: July 30 going to be
a busy weekend in Warner Springs! We have a large number of rooms
on hold, but they have informed us that we must release any unreserved
rooms 30 days before the wedding. Don't wait until the last minute
-- the sooner you get your space reserved the better!
We have contracted a group room rate at Warner
Springs Ranch. Most of the bungalows
contain one queen size bed and one single. There are a few available
that have two double beds. You can find out more about the rooms
here.
The rate per night is $100 + tax.
Room reservations should be made
through Jennifer in Group Reservations at
Warner Springs. She will need this information:
- Name
- Telephone
- Mailing address
- Number of people
- Date of arrival
- Number of nights (some people are already making plans to
spend Thursday night at Warner Springs as well -- come out
early and make it a mini-vacation!)
- Credit card # (AmEx, M/C or Visa). A deposit equivalent
to one night's stay will be required. Refunds available until
30 days before the event.
Jennifer can be reached at groups@warnersprings.com
or by phone at (760) 782-4213. Please reference the
event as the "Lehman/Schrock wedding."
Activity Packages: There are a
number of activity packages offered by the resort. Some of these
include Skysailing, Golf, Equestrian, and the Warner Springs
Spa (one thing we know for sure is that we're going to take
a Sail Plane ride while we're out there!). The prices for these
are listed
here.
IMPORTANT: If you are interested in one of these packages,
your reservations must be made on the web here
or by phone by calling (760) 782-4200 and asking for April. Activity
packages will not be handled through Jennifer.
NOTE: By the way, we should note here that, in our
experience, we've found the front office folks at Warner Springs
to be a little bit prickly. We're not sure why that is, but, in
case you run into the same thing, we thought we'd let you know
that they do warm eventually warm up... :)
OTHER LODGING:
There are other options for lodging in the nearby
towns of Julian and Ramona.
- Julian is
a popular tourist destination and is known for its bed &
breakfasts. It is 21 miles from Warner Springs Ranch. More
Julian information
- Ramona
is a basic California town with a number of inexpensive options
for sleeping and eating. It is 30 miles from Warner Springs
on the way to San Diego.
